Training Courses
Good Farming Practice
Good Farming Practice is a practical training programme, delivered by farmers in the form of workshops on farms throughout Northern Ireland. The programme offers practical training workshops, which cover the main themes of:
• Water quality.
• Habitats and wildlife.
• Land based heritage features.
Each workshop consists of one or more sessions lasting two and a half hours each and the workshops are delivered throughout the country on local farms. Relevant practical examples and farm walks are used to highlight key points during the workshops and the emphasis is on learning by seeing and discussion rather than purely classroom based activities.

Hedge Restoration and Management
Many of our hedgerows are in decline and require remedial treatment to restore them, both as effective field boundaries and as wildlife habitats. This course includes laying, pruning and cutting and in-planting.
