Description of Water:

Omagh Angling Club, Omagh, Co Tyrone.


The Camowen River is medium sized (5-20m) with an abundance of brown trout along with some early salmon but generally from mid June to the end of the season the Salmon fishing is best depending on the water condition.

How to get there: River runs south-east of Omagh town.

Season: 1st April – 20th October
Bag Limit: 1 salmonid per day from the opening of season up to and including the 31st May. 4 salmonids per day for rest of season. i.e. salmon, sea trout, brown trout per angler per day of 24.5cm (10 ins) or above within the entire Foyle System catchment.
Methods: All legal methods permitted.
