Burn Dennet - Game Angling
Description of Water:

Dennet Anglers Association Donemana, Co. Tyrone (15miles, 24km).

Burn Dennet is a medium sized (5- 20m) river perhaps best known for its sea trout, which are at their peak from June to August.

It also has brown trout and grilse, which are best fished for in June and July as a spate is fining down.

September brings a few larger salmon, up to 15lbs or so. Fly fishing, spinning and worming are the permitted methods.

How to get there: Near the village of Donemana (Dunamanagh) and the main Londonderry/Strabane Road
Area: Londonderry / Strabane
Species: Salmon, sea trout and brown trout
Season: 1st April – 20th October
Bag Limit: 1 salmonid per day from the opening of season up to and including the 31st May. 4 salmonids per day for rest of season. i.e. salmon, sea trout, brown trout per angler per day of 24.5cm (10 ins) or above within the entire Foyle System catchment.
Methods: All legal methods permitted.
